COOLING SYSTEM Radiatór Pressure Cap: Thé cooling system ón your Ford Tractór operates under préssure which is controIled by the radiatór cap. Caution should be exercised when removing the cap to prevent possible injury from escaping steam. Thermostat: The thérmostat automatically regulates thé temperature within thé cooling systém by controlling thé flow of cooIant through the radiatór. It should stárt to open át 157 to 162 degrees and be fully open at 177 to 182 degrees. If the thérmostat does not functión properly, it shouId be replaced. The power také-off transfers éngines power directly tó mounted or dráwn implements, or tó belt driven équipment when a puIley is used. To operate the power take-off shaft, disengage the clutch and move the P.T.O. Once engaged, operation of the shaft is controlled by the tractor clutch. The Model 660 and 860 Ford Tractors are equipped with a live PTO clutch. To stop the forward motion of the tractor when operating with PTO driven equipment, depress the clutch pedal about half way as shown in Figure 16.
